Once again it’s time to announce Fullcourt’s Player of the Month – this time for the January edition. This time the award goes to the SISU-player Kyle Dranginis.
“It’s an honor to receive the award for player of the month,” Dranginis told Fullcourt.dk after receiving the award.
Dranginis led SISU Men to three victories in five games during January including a surprisingly win against the Danish top team Bakken Bears in a thrilling contest. SISU won the game 108-100 in which Dranginis contributed with his second triple-double of the season (25/13/12).
The former Gonzaga player enjoys his stay in Denmark, which he doesn’t regret for one second.
“I think Denmark has been an awesome spot to play during my first year as a professional. I’ve been able to develop my game while getting the chance to play against some good competition.”
Just before Christmas the former head coach Miguel Angel Hoyo choose to leave the club even though he signed a three-year contract this summer. SISU acted quickly and signed the experienced college coach Jim Jabir for the remainder of the season.
“Jabir has been a very positive addition for our team. He has helped us develop our uptempo style of play, which fits perfectly with our group of guys. We’re looking forward to making a push for the 5th or 6th spot before playoff time!”
Kyle Dranginis’s stat line in January:
Games: 5 (3-2)
Points: 22,2
Rebounds: 8,8
Assists: 5,0
